Doing Business with A2Z Balloon Company

Buyer Qualification

A2Z Balloon Company is a wholesale distributor whose products are only available to qualified commercial customers. A completed A2Z Commercial Purchase Application with proof of business identity (sales tax or business license) is required before first order; applications are available for download at www.a2zballoons.com/forms or we will fax/mail/email upon request.

Conditions of Sale, Prices & Errors

As a condition of sale, customers agree to abide by A2Z’s terms and conditions described herein or to future revisions of this document published in our catalogs and website. All information and prices in A2Z Catalogs, flyers and website are accurate to the best of our knowledge at time of publication. Due to typographical errors and vendor price increases, A2Z reserves the right to charge the current price at the time of invoice even if its higher than published price. Customers may request an Order Confirmation at the time of order submission if there is any question about pricing, but it will only be provided upon request.

Minimum Order Amount

  • $50 minimum order for normal pricing & terms
  • Less than $50 orders charged at Price Level 1 plus a $5 service charge
  • No minimum order for commercial showroom purchases

Minimum Order Quantities

Flat foil balloons (same style/item no.) 18” or smaller 10 min.
Packaged foil balloons 18” or smaller 5 min.
Foil Shapes larger than 18” 3 min.
Letters/Number shapes may be purchased 1 per style

Price Discounts

Three prices are listed under most items in our catalogs and the price you pay is determined by the amount ordered:

$50 to $249 You Pay Price Level 1 $250 to $499 You Pay Price Level 2 Order $500+ You Pay Price Level 3
  • The price charged is determined by the amount ordered even if the whole order isn’t shipped
  • No discounts are available on items that have only one price listed or that specify that no discount is available

Conditional Free Freight Offer

Free Freight is available for orders over $250 on most items according to the following conditions:

  • Free freight is available within the contiguous U.S. only; AL, HI and PR will receive freight allowance equal to ground cost to closest major city in contiguous U.S. with balance of cost paid by customer
  • No free freight on heavy or bulky items such as Value Party Goods, Hi-Float, air filled balloons, inflation equipment, display racks, plastic hex containers, roll tickets and other very heavy items; if part of order qualifies for free freight, customer will only be charged for the portion of freight cost attributed to the heavy or bulky items and rest of order will receive free freight
  • For orders that contain $250 of free freight eligible items and heavy or bulky items, customer will only be charged the incremental freight cost for the heavy or bulky items
  • Free freight for UPS Ground only, if expedited shipping is requested, customer must pay the extra freight cost


  • A2Z Order Formis printed in all catalogs or can be download at www.A2ZBalloons.com/forms If not using A2Z Order Form please provide list with item number, brief description and quantity
  • Order Confirmation or Pro Forma is only provided upon request
  • Item Numbers must be used to order rather than description to avoid receiving wrong merchandise; many items have similar descriptions, for example we sell 18 different blue latex balloons!!!

  • Website Orders: Place orders online at www.A2ZBalloons.com using your A2Z Customer Number.
  • Order Pulling: Order are not pulled for customers without payment terms until customer’s credit card is authorized for order amount; A2Z is not responsible for shipping delays if credit card is not provided with order or if card is declined
  • Order Changes: To ensure order quality, no changes are allowed once the order is submitted and credit card is authorized. Please ensure orders are complete when placed because add-on items will be on a new order
  • Add On Orders: We attempt to ship add on orders with initial order, but it is not guaranteed
  • Back Orders are cancelled unless customer specifically requests back orders to be shipped when in stock
  • Critical Items: Please notify your salesperson if an item is critical for a special order or décor job as we do not contact customers for every out of stock item unless specifically requested

Shipping & Delivery

  • Order Processing Time: Orders received by 2 PM EST with terms or authorized credit card will be shipped the same day although it is not guaranteed and may be longer during extremely high seasonal demand or just before major holidays; orders are pulled in order received so allow for an extra day during busy holidays; A2Z will not pay for expedited shipment when orders are received during seasonal high demand periods
  • Standard Delivery: UPS Ground is used for deliveries outside of SE Michigan (see UPS delivery map in our catalogs for transit days to your area)
  • Expedited Delivery: Available by request if customer pays portion of freight cost that exceeds standard delivery cost
  • UPS Delays: A2Z is not responsible for delivery delays caused by UPS holiday closing which are posted on their website; or delays due to weather and expedited shipping if required is customer’s responsibility
  • Shipping Damage: Inspect packages before accepting delivery; if damaged or security tape is broken check to see if any product is missing or damaged and if so inform UPS driver and/or refuse delivery and inform A2Z immediately
  • Shortages: Mistakes may happen so inspect packages upon receipt and report any shortages within 2 days of receipt but all orders are checked by two different employees to ensure order accuracy


  • Payments: We accept cash, credit card, checks and wire transfers but money orders are not accepted for COD deliveries
  • Return Check Fee: We charge $25 for each returned check
  • Refused Orders: Orders placed but refused at delivery will incur a 20% restocking fee
  • Refunds: Refunds paid in original payment form unless cash refund is greater than $25 which will be refunded by check

Non-Defective Merchandise Returns

  • Non-defective returns are accepted at A2Z’s discretion but 20% restocking fee is deducted; only exception is buying extra foil letters/numbers, 3’ latex or large shapes for décor jobs providing the following return requirements are met:
  • Returns must be in sellable condition, within 30 days of purchase, in unopened original packaging with original invoice
  • Returns without invoice will be delayed and credit will be lowest selling price of item less 20% restocking fee
  • A2Z reserves the right to credit returns against future purchases in lieu of refund
  • When sending returns to A2Z via mail or carrier, customer must call A2Z sales for RMA # and complete the return form below; customer responsible for return freight unless due to A2Z error
  • Unsold seasonal or slow selling merchandise is not accepted for return under any circumstances

Defective Merchandise Returns

  • A2Z will replace or credit your account for defective products but not items that have been misused, punctured, cut or have obviously been used for display; credits are limited to price paid but not additional damages, lost sales or helium
  • A2Z will only credit the original price paid for defects IF returns contain RMA # from A2Z Sales and return form below, copy of invoice or at least invoice number on which it was purchased; returns without invoice information will require up to 30 days to process and will be credited at lowest sale price on record
  • Merchandise returned to but not purchased from A2Z will be deducted from the credit for any valid product returned
  • For Qualatex Balloons, report defects directly to Pioneer at (800) 880-6118 or visit their webpage support.qualatex.com where they’ve posted an easy-to-use form and they will send replacement balloons directly
  • Credits for defective merchandise will only be applied to future purchases, not refunded
  • Defective balloons returned mixed with garbage or waste will be discarded and the entire credit forfeited

Cylinder Ownership

A2Z only sells gas in cylinders that are registered property of A2Z Balloon Company and are identified by any of the following names embossed on the cylinder neck ring: A2Z Balloon Company, Zakoor Novelty or Advance Novelty; A2Z cylinders have never been sold to any individual or business and if anyone has purchased one from a 3rd party claiming ownership, they have unwittingly purchased stolen property and it must be surrendered to A2Z upon demand; we have a no questions asked policy for return of our cylinders and will pay a reward if one of our cylinders is found.

Cylinder Usage & Rent

All A2Z owned cylinders are subject to rental fees printed on our invoices (currently 20¢ per day per cylinder, beginning 31 days after purchase); rent is billed and due upon return of the cylinder and may be deducted from a customer’s security deposit if one was paid; cylinders may be used until empty or a maximum of 1 year from the date of gas purchase, whichever occurs first, then a new cylinder must be ordered or the cylinder must be returned regardless of whether it is empty; as a condition of gas purchase, customer is liable for lost cylinder charge of $300 per cylinder for any cylinder lost or customer refuses to return when empty or after 1 year, whichever occurs first; A2Z does not refund the price of unused gas returned in one of our cylinders under any circumstances unless cylinder is completely full and if so a 20% restocking fee will be deducted from the credit or refund

Limitation of Liability

A2Z Balloon Company’s liability is limited to replacement or reimbursement of defective or damaged merchandise; A2Z is not responsible or liable for lost profit, lost sales, lost helium, reputation damage, or any incidental costs due to a product defect, shipping or pulling error, late or missed delivery

Michigan Jurisdiction

By accepting delivery from A2Z Balloon Company you consent that any disputes will be settled under the jurisdiction of the courts of the State of Michigan and under Michigan law

Returning Merchandise to A2Z

First, customer must call A2Z Sales for an RMA# then complete the following RMA form and include with returned items; customer is responsible for return shipping unless sent back with A2Z delivery staff or due to A2Z error.
